DESCRIPTION:The Songs We Share: An Interactive Concert In English and Spanish \nSaturday\, September 27\n2:00-5:00pm\nSt. John’s Lutheran Church\n409 W Ben White Blvd\nAustin\, TX. \nA free all-ages concert. \nCreative SEA presents an afternoon concert of interactive song and music from the Americas.  \nA wonderful ensemble\, led by saxophonist Paul Klemperer\, will explore songs that we have in common\, familiar to all ages\, drawing from Pop\, Latin\, Jazz and American Songbook. Creative SEA’s mission is Creative Social Engagement Through the Arts.  \nHosted by St. John-San Juan Lutheran Church\, the event seeks to deepen our connections with each other through the music by sharing stories and memories\, or just singing along.  \nShawn Ellison on piano\, Phil Spencer on bass and Joe McCreary on drums provide a powerhouse rhythm section for vocalist Julie Slim and Latin percussionist Rey Arteaga\, with Paul Klemperer’s saxophone adding some spice. Julie is wellknown to Austinites as an international artist building cultural bridges through her music.
