2025 has been a productive year for Creative SEA so far. For the final quarter (Sept-Dec) before the buzzer goes off, we have some great public performances scheduled. These include A) the monthly Community Jazz Jam (now at a South Austin venue); B) an Interactive Concert, to explore popular songs in English and Spanish; C) the 14th Annual Texas Festivus Celebration (date and location coming soon).
In addition, Creative SEA hosts smaller informal community-building events. These have several interlocking purposes: A) Networking and building face-to-face relationships for folks who want to engage in positive, creative community activities; B) Brainstorming ideas for new Creative SEA projects, and to assess previous events; C) Share creative ideas, expertise and talents in a salon-style format.
Creative SEA has been fortunate to get grant funding from the City of Austin Economic Development Department. We are actively applying for other grants, corporate and private support, and “sweat equity” forms of donated resources. These funds, resources and involvement will help us sustain and expand our creative community programs in 2026.
We invite you to attend upcoming events and help build our creative community as we move into autumn. Creative SEA strives to make all our events welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.
